About The Speaker

Kartini Kasmuri

Centre of Studies for Architecture (CoSA), UiTM Puncak Alam Kartini Kasmuri is a lecturer in the Centre of Studies for Architecture (CoSA), UiTM Puncak Alam. Working closely with students as an advisor to the Architecture Students Associatoin (Archisa), she believes that the role of educators go beyond sharing knowledge. It strives on creating opportunities and nurture ambitions among future professionals. She obtained LAM Part I and II from University Teknologi MARA (UiTM) before practicing as a Graduate Architect. Kartini then went on to pursue a Master in International Cooperation and Sustainable Emergency Architecture in Barcelona, Spain. Her areas of interest include Architectural and Urban Design, History and Cultural Studies, and Humanitarian Architecture. She has participated in disaster recovery and marginalized community programs with Mercy Malaysia and UPM while teaching part time in UiTM, where she discovered a new-found passion in education.
