Sketching Kuala Lumpur’s key transportationlandmark: KTM Station

On Saturday, August 26, 2023, from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm, the Architecture community, art enthusiasts, commuters, and tourists united for SKETCHWALK 3, an event that transformed the KTM Station into a canvas of creativity.

The meet-up point was the Lobby Platform 1 of the KTM Station, located at Jalan Sultan Hishamuddin, Kampung Attap, Kuala Lumpur. Participants were armed with sketchbooks and pencils, ready to capture Kuala Lumpur’s key transportation landmark’s architectural marvels, the hustle and bustle of commuters, and the palpable energy that flows through this transportation hub. The iconic KTM Kuala Lumpur Station is not just a place to catch a train; it’s a place where stories begin, journeys are embarked upon, and memories are made.

Throughout the event, participants sketched, painted, and illustrated their interpretations of the station, each capturing its unique charm and vibrancy. The artists’ creations ranged from intricate architectural drawings to vibrant depictions of the diverse people passing through the station’s corridors. SKETCHWALK 3 in collaboration with KL Sketch Nation and KTM Berhad, showcased the Malaysian spirit of bringing communities together, transcending language barriers, and creating connections.
