Ar. Chris Yap
Ar.IDr Chris Yap SC is the founder and Group Chairman of Spatial Factors Design Group (SFDG), which specializes in retail design, commercial office interiors, resorts, specialty food and beverage outlets, residential architecture, and master planning projects. He was among the first local architects to venture into interior design due to the economic downturn of the 1990s and the lack of architectural works. He currently serves as the Chancellor of the APSDA College of Fellows Committee and holds multiple Fellow Membership statuses in MIID, APSDA, and PAM.
He is also a Board Member of Lembaga Arkitek Malaysia (Board of Architects Malaysia) for five terms since 2015, and has co-authored the Green Building Index ID Rating Tools, LAM's Interior Design Accreditation Manual for Institutions of Higher Learning, and the MIID – PAM Interior Design Works Contract 2023.
