In an initiative that endeavored to sow the seeds of creativity, sustainable thinking, and innovative design among young students, we recently facilitated a hands-on and dynamic program titled “Joy of Creating and Building”.
This three-hour workshop aimed to instill the primary school students a deeper understanding and appreciation for the principles of sustainable design of Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle.
Each student received a 2’ x 2’ plot on which the students built their unique tiny homes and these plots were combined to represent a single city-housing development, aptly named “3R: City”.
Through “Joy of Creating and Building” program, it is hoped to inspire the next generation of architects and innovators, fostering a stronger commitment to sustainable design principles and contribute to a more sustainable future.
