Ziarah KL s a part of the Festival’s plan to promote Heritage Tourism for Architects and members of the public focussed on places in Kuala Lumpur. It’s aim is defined clearly in the agenda for heritage tourism which is “the act of traveling to experience the places, artifacts, and activities that authentically represent the stories and people of the past and present. It includes visitation to cultural, historic, and natural resources.” Because heritage tourism is often “place-based” – Ziarah programmes shall endeavour to being participants to the places themselves.
