Program: Tomorrowland Pavilion
Date: 3rd July 2019 (Wednesday) – 6th July 2019 (Saturday)
Venue: KLCC Convention Centre, Hall 8
Team leader: Luis Tseng
The Pavilion of Tomorrow is dedicated for global futurists to explore possibilities in architectural and urban design for the future, a complex relationship with rapid development in robotics, programming, artificial intelligence, augmented and virtual reality, big data, block chain and various undefined technological developments that will inevitably shift the paradigm and re-shape our build environment and virtual world. Any solution for the future can no longer be approached top-down or bottom-up but by an integrated ecosystem that requires the involvement of all parties.
Tomorrowland pavilion showcases the latest in imaging and imaginary technologies as well as talks and discussions on the way ahead.
ID Architects Singapore will be showcasing their computational design process and VR capabilities for architectural design. The installation aims to showcase the integration of technology and programmatic logic into the field of architectural design, which allows the user to be immersed in a true three-dimensional environment that gives and incredible sense of scale, depth and spatial awareness that supersedes traditional renders, animations or physical-scale models. The software and hardware on display will be available for visitors to interact with.
Is digital art the next avant-garde movement in the history of art, architecture, and design? Visitors have the opportunity witness and experience art in a non-traditional, multi-sensory way with interactive installations by Max Jala, a rising Malaysian artist and creative coder.
