He began his journey in the world of activism since he was 21 years old back in 2008 and established JKOAK in 2010. Most known for his active role in leading the Temiar grassroot movement in Gua Musang in their struggle to defend their native customary land, he was the secretary for JKOAK from 2010-2011 and 2014-2015 before being elected as the current president of JKOAK. He has been arrested several times and is currently facing several charges in court due to his blockade efforts which are still on going. Mustafa is passionate about the Orang Asli land rights issue, along with education, health and the development of the Orang Asli.
