Learning How Young People Learn
Slot 2 (2pm - 4pm)
Designing a mini-lesson with architectural concept for kids
Most architects were exposed to the architecture field in their young adult life. Imagine how different it would be if Malaysians were exposed to architectural concepts way earlier in life, such as in childhood or during their teenage years.
Cikgu Huda believes that this ideal can still be reached if architects, parents and teachers play their part in reaching out to young people. Architectural concepts can enrich the lives of the young by instilling curiosity as well as understanding design and the built environment.
Not only that, but it might also plant the seeds for more sensitive designers and informed city dwellers of the future.
In this workshop, we will learn how to facilitate learning for young learners.
Open to architects who are parents, young architects, fresh grads, and curious teachers who want to fuse architecture learning in their class.
