About The Speaker

Centre of Studies for Architecture (CoSA), UiTM Puncak Alam Kartini Kasmuri is a lecturer in the Centre of Studies for Architecture (CoSA), UiTM Puncak Alam. Working closely with students as an advisor to the Architecture Students Associatoin (Archisa), she believes that the role of educators go beyond sharing knowledge. It strives on creating opportunities and nurture ambitions among future professionals. She obtained LAM Part I and II from University Teknologi MARA (UiTM) before practicing as a Graduate Architect. Kartini then went on to pursue a Master in International Cooperation and Sustainable Emergency Architecture in Barcelona, Spain. Ar Mustapha Kamal Zulkarnain, an Auckland University alumni from the New Zealand has been practicing architecture for the past 27 years and is a fellow member of Malaysian Institute of Architects (Pertubuhan Arkitek Malaysia, PAM). His Area of expertise is Urban Resilience. He first mooted the idea of resiliency into the vocabulary of the committee Urban Wellbeing, Sustainability, Housing and Environmental Resilience (USHER) in 2014 as the Co-Chair. He has delivered papers and attended various conferences, symposiums and seminars that touches on resiliency. Born and bred in Kuala Lumpur, Zaini was a pioneer student of KPP/ITM MUCIA program and obtained his Associate Degree from Indiana University, Bachelor of Environmental Design from Texas A&M University and Master of Architecture from The University of Michigan, USA. After being employed at FD Architects Partnership for seven years, he became the Managing Director of Zenithal Creative Works Sdn Bhd in the year 2000. In 2004, he became a registered Professional Architect and Principal of Zaini Mufti Architect until 2006, where he co-founded Z&SR Architectural Ventures Sdn Bhd.
