Crowds of participants rushed to for registration as DATUM:KL Day 2 began early in the morning, on the 26th of July, having the curtains drawn by an exhilarating presentation from Ar. Kichul Lee of Architect K, South Korea followed closely by Ms. Zakiah Zuege of Populous, Singapore having all eyes on her as she presents the next vision of the once iconic Shah Alam Stadium. As Mr. Alan Cheung of Onebite Studio, Hong Kong presents his take on revitalising communal spaces that crosses the boundaries of gender, Mr. Milinda Pathiraja of Robust Architecture Workshop, Sri Lanka equally conveys a heartfelt conversation on his current works. Gensler, Singapore representative Ms. Yvette Koh brighten up the stage, then having Mr. Yoshi Uchiyama takes the stage representing Koichi Takada Architects, an Australian-based architectural practice expands the horizon of architecture across international waters. A thrilling finale of a presentation by Mr. Carlo Ratti representing his practice, Carlo Ratti Associati of Italy shares memorable architectural developments, especially a collaboration of a research development with Roboat, a research program transcending what “delivery on waters” could mean!
