Fostering Architectural Collaboration and Knowledge Exchange with the Local Authority and Community

“ArCreate @MPAJ, a two-day collaborative program with the Local Authority, took place on Thursday 13th July to Friday 14th July 2023 at Dewan Auditorium MPAJ Pandan Indah, Selangor. The event was aimed at promoting knowledge exchange, showcasing innovative products, and fostering networking opportunities within the architectural professionals, the authority and the general public.

The event kicked off on Thursday morning with distinguished guests and VIPs who graced the occasion, and the program commenced with an opening speech by Ar. Norzaini bin Mufti, the Director of KLAF2023. The event was officialyl launched by Dr. Ani binti Ahmad, DSM, YDP MPAJ, who also presented tokens of appreciation to the VIPs. Throughout the day, attendees were treated to a series of engaging activities and presentations, including technical talks by MPAJ on various processes and insightful talks and exhibitions by architects and practitioners. The program also featured product presentations by sponsors, where industry-leading companies showcased their latest innovations. The following day’s presentations covered diverse topics, such as sustainable urban design, the application process for strata development, planning proposals, and placemaking in communities and presentations on building plans, urban planning and engineering reviews.

On Friday afternoon, a special program, “”Career Path,”” was held for high school students, where they were introduced to the world of architecture and inspired to consider a career in this field. The interactive workshop allowed students to engage with professionals and gain valuable career advice.

ArCreate @MPAJ concluded on a high note with a closing session that included a Q&A and a collaboration workshop involving the public, authorities, schools and architects.The organizing committee extends their heartfelt gratitude to the Local Authority, participating architects, sponsors, and all attendees for making ArCreate @MPAJ a memorable and fruitful event. Together, they have not only strengthened professional connections but also contributed to the community of Ampang Jaya.
